EXPERIMENT:- Egg and acid (vinegar) demineralisation.

Treat the outside of one half of an egg shell with fluoride toothpaste.

Place both halfs over night floating in a cup containing vinegar. Alternatively fruit juice, lemonade, even water and sugar with added plaque scraped from teeth stored somewhere at body temperature can give similar results. You can also use litmus paper that turns pink in acid

Next day stroke a toothbrush over the surface. Repeat every day  and note the effect.

These experiments show that acid can demineralise the egg shell, just as it can demineralise tooth and that fluoride makes the tooth more resistant to acid.
